1. What This Website Is
This is an independent reference site. It does not store official records, retrieve private files, conduct an official background check, or submit documents for a user.
Its role is to identify custodians and access routes for Spartanburg County records, including the Sheriff’s Office, criminal courts, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and South Carolina Sex Offender Registry, along with outside search services.
2. Rules for Using This Site
A user agrees not to:

- Use content for a credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
- Seek unauthorized access to any system or account

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information found here or through a linked service must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. That rule is especially important for registry information. S.C. Code §23-3-450 provides penalties when a criminal offense is committed using registry data. Public safety information never authorizes vigilant action.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We do not produce credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. A user may not rely on this site or a linked tool to:
- Make a hiring or firing decision
- Evaluate a renter or housing application
- Set credit terms or insurance rates
- Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose
A legally required official check must be ordered through SLED or another properly authorized, FCRA-compliant channel.
